I purchased this about 2 months ago and it takes up very little space and holds 1 weeks kitchen garbage.

This does not offer an option to “solid compact” which our other one had that was very helpful. We found a way to turn off the compactor when it’s jn the down position to “hold” it there but that’s not the same thing. Not sure why it would be made with out this feature.
